Uzoho Nominated Again For La Liga 2 MVP Award

Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has been nominated for the most valuable player for the match day 17 in the LaLiga 1l2l3 reports, Completesportsnigeria.com.

It is the second time this season that the Nigeria international is getting nominated for the award.

Uzoho was nominated for the most valuable player award on matchday 10 but did not win.

The 20-year-old was outstanding in goal for Elche making three outstanding saves on Sunday as his team recorded their third draw in their last six games.

Uzoho who kept a clean sheet on his return from a four-week injury-induced layoff in Elche’s goalless draw with Sporting Gijon is in contention for the award along with Cristian Herrera of CD Lugo, Borja Valle of RC Deportivo, Juan Carlos of UD Almería and Dani Romera of Cádiz CF, according to the official website of the Spanish La Liga, laliga.es.

The loanee Francis Uzoho from Deportivo La Coruna has kept three clean sheets in four La Liga Segunda games for Elche, but has conceded five league goals in the Spanish second-tier division.

Elche are placed 18th in the LaLiga 1l2l3 table with 17 points from 17 games. They will play away at Rayo Majadahonda this Sunday.
