Chelsea gaffer Jose Mourinho will for now put a hold on his appeal against the heavy £50,000 fine slammed on him by the FA, and rather focus on how to wrestle the sinking Chelsea ship from perishing.

The 52-year old legend will welcome his equally under-fire opponent Tim Sherwood to the Stamford bridge, a ground many clubs now fancy their chances of at least sharing the spoils with The blues.

Aston Villa find themselves 4 points adrift of safety in the bottom three, while Chelsea are just 2 steps above them in 16th position with 8 points from as many matches.

A lot of Chelsea fans will be glad that out of form defender Branislav Ivanovic who has scored 5 times against Aston Villa will not feature due to injury, but will hope Thibaut Courtois return soon to take over from Asmir Begovic.

For Villa, they will be without the services of defenders Ciaran Clark and  Jores Okore, also striker Gabby Agbonlahor remain injured.
