Liverpool are set to recall Sheyi Ojo from his loan spell at Wolves as Jurgen Klopp looks to reinforce his injury-riddled squad.
With 11 players currently unavailable to Klopp, the 18-year-old is expected to be named among the travelling party for Friday’s FA Cup third-round tie at Exeter.
Ojo joined the Championship side in August for the 2015-16 season in order to gain first-team experience after signing a new long-term contract with Liverpool.
During the international break in November, the teenager returned to Melwood as Klopp wanted to assess the club’s youth talents who were away on loan deals.
The winger explained that while undertaking training with the Reds boss, the German told him “to keep my head down, keep working hard and obviously we’ll just see what the future holds.
“I think he’s come to see me a couple of times which is nice to hear and hopefully I can keep on improving and keep on doing well.
“With the right guidance I think I can do well in this team.
“I’m still learning and I’m still young so I’ll just see how it goes and see what the manager wants me to do.”
Ojo made 19 appearances for Wolves, scoring three goals and assisting four more.
Liverpool also recalled Ryan Kent from his loan at Coventry earlier in the week as the club seeks solutions to ease the impact of a lengthy injury list.
