Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri were both on target to hand Liverpool a 2-0 win over struggling Fulham at Anfield in Sunday’s English Premier League clash.
Mohamed Salah scored Liverpool’s first goal in the 41st minute after he latched on to Trent Alexander-Arnold long pass from defence before slotting his shot past Sergio Rico in goal for Fulham.
Shaqiri secured the win in the 76th minute volleying in Andy Robertson’s cross from the left flank.
The defeat was the seventh in a row for Fulham in the English Premier League this season and it also extended their winless run at Anfield to nine games.
Fulham had the ball in the net through Mitrovic but his header was wrongly ruled out for offside.
They created few decent chances through Andre Schurrle, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ryan Sessegnon on several occasions during the game but were let down by poor finishing.
Liverpool dominated play possessing play but were unable to score more goals in the remaining minutes of the game after Shaqiri has doubled the lead.
Fulham remains bottom of the EPL table, still with only one win this season while Liverpool still unbeaten in the league go top for now, with rivals Chelsea and Manchester City still to play later today.
